Medicinal Flora of the San Juans

Medicinal Flora of the San Juan Mountains is an Artist book, field guide, and companion project to "Land-based Healing: Plant Medicine in a Wilderness Context." It is a part of my thesis project from my time with the Hulbert Center for Southwest Studies at Colorado College. The handmade book contains Illustrations, alongside Identification and medicinal preparation information for 14 common wild flora of the san Juan mountain region of colorado. The book 's box is adorned with pinecones for protection and an embroidered leaf.
